New Configuration File after Upgrade?

Hi,

We are upgrading the 3cx server from v15.5 SP6 to v16 Update 5.
A few doubts in my mind are,

- Windows Soft phone will be upgraded to the latest version, so will it work with the old configuration file from v15.5? Or do I have to send new configuration files to each extension after the upgrade to v16?

- This doubt is also there for the Android and iOS apps, do those also need to Scan new QR code from v16? or will it work fine with the configuration that is already there with it from v15.5?

Windows soft phone is working fine with the v15.5.
So once I complete the v16 upgrade, I'm sure everyone will get the pop-up asking them to upgrade the client.
These clients already are registered with an extension.
So when they click on upgrade and after the upgrade will it work fine with the configuration file that was already there?
Or do I have to send a new configuration file from v16?

Is there any difference between the configuration files of v15.5 and v16?

Also, would like to know whether we need to scan the QR code again for the IOS App too.

iOS app is already in the latest version, but the 3cx server is 15.5 SP6. So once the upgrade is over, do we have to scan the QR code again?
Because the previous QR code was scanned when 3cx was in v 15.5 and now that the version is upgraded to v16, would that make any difference?

Hi,

You should be able to upgrade and not need to reprovision anything.

Note: The apps reprovision automatically always upon startup - unless you disabled this manually for the extension provisioning page.
