HI all,

I am running a 3CX TestPBX on Windows 10
- Standard Licence 16.07
- Sip Trunk from easybell.de
- firewall Check passed

I provisioned the phone and everything was working as exprected.
Then I tried to setup the voicemail, for this ext. - I can call the 99 but I don't hear any sound.
If I send to voicemail call to my android phone with 3cx ext. - I hear sound and everything is working fine, I can login to voicemail and hear voicemails.

Anyone here has an idea whats wrong?

I provisioned the phone with my fqdn from outside the lan (as described by the 3cx help page) - cause I need to test the phone on another location.

So short:
1. What can I do or have to setup to get the voicemail sound on the Fanvil X7C
and another question
2. how can I setup ONE voicemail for a group of extensions - and
3. how do I call this groupvoicemail?

Thank you very much for your time and help :)

Regards
Stev

Hi Stev,

I would first say that you need to call *777 and talk to see if you can hear your echo. If not, then it's entirely unrelated to the voicemail, you are just facing audio issues.

It sounds like you setup the phone using STUN in the provisioning settings of your extension:

If this is the case, then it is expected that you will have some audio issues (you did not mention anything regarding your setup so far). The fact that the app works seems to confirm that there is some missing setup on the remote side where the X7C lies.

This procedure is necessary for all STUN phones, so if you have more than one, I would recommend not to bother with STUN at all, and install an SBC instead. The article above should have all the link you need to read.

Hi JohnS
Thanks for your really fast reply :)
Yes it seems that I don't know enough about Stun and so on .. I followed your link and as I can see I have to install a SBC, cause in future the ip phones are set on different locations :)
So SBC seems to be the best way.
I will try that today and will reply here if it works, as I need it.

Yes John you are right I provisioned it with Direct SIP, and if I call *777 I can't hear myself.

Thanks again and I will reply soon ...

Glad to help! Just keep in mind that the SBC must be installed on the same network as the phones.

So for example if you have a PBX that is running in the cloud, and you have 2 offices, you would then install one SBC at each office site.

Let me know if you have any further questions and we can help you get started

HI!

so we've tested the sbc on weekend and what should I say, simple and easy! Worked prefectly!
installed SBC phone reset - plugged in and voila .. worked :) :) :)
Thank you very much John_S for your help !
