Hiya.

I have several clients that need new phone systems. In the past I have deployed onsite asterisk installs, but I am very intrigued by 3CX and would like to move forward.

I tried to go the google hosted route, but realized there was an issue after completing the express setup and found my instance hosted instead on 3CX. I redid the setup and did successfully complete the google instance but the second email I got with credentials does not work for accessing the management console, it still wants the first credentials sent in the email with the subject Important Information about your 3CX Phone System.

Is the Management Console a 3CX function?

I just need help on figuring out how to simply log into the instance currently installed on my google cloud so I can manage everything, I can not seem to find any documentation on how to do this.

Thanks!

Charlie

To ask a silly question... assuming you used the same FQDN for both installs are you sure you're connecting to the correct install?

It's probably easier / faster just to release the FQDN on the customer portal, blow away the install on Google Compute and start again than try to troubleshoot this. You can usually deploy an instance in 15 minutes and most of that time is spent tapping your fingers.

edit: The management console is a fundamental function of 3CX - you use it for the configuration of almost everything.

Hello @Charlie_P

I believe the @Lee Cramman is right and you are still trying to connect to the original PBX hosted by 3CX as the FQDN DNS is still pointing to the original installation.
We could delete the 3CX hosted installation to eliminate this issue but i will require some information to be able to do so. Send me a p.m. if you would like us to delete the free hosted instance.

I was able to get everything figured out with your help, thanks guys!

Is this something benign that I can ignore or is everything I mentioned before causing issues. Currently cant get my test phone to auto provision, and this is in the activity log.

Not sure but if you log in to the 3CX customer portal with the old credentials there's an option to release the old domain.

This is not something you need to worry about as it is produced when the PBX is set to use a Dynamic IP and 2 of the STUN servers resolve to the same IP. Make sure that your FQDN resolves to the correct IP address and try again.

Thanks for your help, I was able to just create a new instance of 3cx and it resolved all the above issues. Able to make/receive calls using flowroute. Now attempting to decipher how to get bandwidth.com to work as that is the provider I would like to use since their pricing is half of flowroute. I see lots of forum posts over the years asking how to set it up but nothing with clear answers. I'm about 30 minutes in, hopefully I can figure out the settings here shortly.

Glad to see you got things working. As a start i would recommend using the 3CX template for bandwith.com as it will save you a lot of guessing work.
