At the customer's request we recorded a new greeting, using the built in recording feature, saved it as a wav file and assigned it as the after hours digital receptionist greeting. The problem is that the old after hours greeting is still playing, instead of the new wav file that was selected. I tried restarting the 3CX server and rerecording the greeting, but the original after hours greeting still is being played. It seems that 3cx isn't playing the recording that is being selected from within the Digital Receptionist setup. Can someone suggest what I can do to fix this problem?

3CX Windows version 16.0.7.1078 running on Windows 10 Professional host with Windows update 2004
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Hello,

Since you also restarted and the issue still occurs, I would definitely re-check everything from scratch.

- Call the IVR from an internal extension and confirm if it still plays the wrong file

- Remove the audio file (use the new Manage button) and set another audio file ie. OfficeClosed.wav

- Call it again and see if it now plays this new selection

- If that was ok, then find your file you wish to upload, and listen to it before uploading (make sure!)

- Upload the file again and repeat test as above

Hi JohnS;

Thanks for your suggestions!
I found that the inbound routes were specifying a different digital reception menu than the one I was changing the recording for. Once I picked the correct digital receptionist menu, the new recording played as it should. My mistake for not reviewing the call routing completely, before posting.

No worries, glad to hear it was resolved
