Hi all, i am trying to install 3cx on a new system but I can't get past the hostname and domain screens, I then get a blue screen and nothing happens. Its the exact same issue as this thread from last month https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/3cx-blue-screen-on-install.82312/#post-381526

I tried the step in that thread that said to try and install debian and that works, I just cant get the 3cx iso to work. I have tried both through proxmox and on the host machine itself with no VM involved.

Please can you offer any advice as I'm pulling my hair out at this!

Thanks

What ISO are you using and how old the is physical machine?

Debian 9 ISO (v16) requires the system to be in BIOS mode for better compatibility.

Debian 10 ISO (v18) works with both BIOS and UEFI.

Most VM hypervisors will default to UEFI so it can cause this issue. The physical machine might also be set as such.

The ISO is the latest one on the portal today debian-amd64-netinst-3cx

The actual machine is brand new out the box today, 10th Gen i5

I've enabled legacy boot so thats not the issue, Proxmox is also set to BIOS too..

I’ve just got it working, turns out there was an issue with the internet connection on this machine. It would be helpful if the installer threw up an error to say this! Glad it’s working now!
