New install, voicemail issues.

I have done a fresh install of version 12 trial (thank you 3cx for a great product) and all is well but one major issue. Anytime I pass a call to voicemail or try to make a recording for Digital Receptionist I get 'Your call cannot be completed at this time , please try again later".

I don't know where to fix this, thanks in advance for any help.

This is the log from ext #102 to #101 and #101 passing to voicemail. No voicemail options are presented, just the 'This call cannot be completed at this time , please try again later" prompt and it hangs up.

This happens under any voicemail attempts, outside caller, inside caller, even when trying to check messages.

You activated the 2SIM call demo license correct?

I am not aware of a 2sim demo, what is that?

Be sure that all services are running on 3CX.

In the past there was a Demo key that was sent with along with a welcome email when you downloaded 3CX (and included your email). That would unlock all features, but, limit calls to 2 rather than 4.

In version 12, now, the free version is 2 and not all features are unlocked any longer.

However, basic voicemail should be working according to the feature list. There may,be some other issue with the PC you are using. Did you encounter any error messages when installing 3CX? What is the physical hardware and operating system?

There were no errors on install, I don't know where to start on this. Is there an install log file for 3CX?

All service are running 100%

Under Services Status, does it show everything as "running"?

Shows that Win 8.1 Pro supports it, perhaps there is conflict with another programme that is running?

There was an issue, previously, with Server OS's that were not supporting, or did not have installed, the correct audio drivers. I'm wondering if there is something similar at play here.

All services show as running, have done services restarts, computer reboots.

I will try an uninstall and reinstall later tonight.

I forgot to mention I get the same result when trying to record an auto attendant message. It rings the extension, I answer, and there it is again and then it hangs up and I cannot make a message.

Fresh install, no mods but added 1 extension. Still same problem from any access to ext. 999

" This call could not be completed, please try again later. We apologize. "

I now have done a wipe out of anything version 12 and installed system V11. Works like a charm right out of the box.

I have to admit though, I do like the V12 software phone much more than the old one!

I wonder what the deal is with 12 and my system............................

I should have suggested changing the logs to Verbatim, which might have provided additional information about whatever error 3CX was encountering. Glad version 11 works for you. Obviously there was some sort of issue with version 12 and your PC. At some point, you might want to re-install version 12, as it may have been some sort of a corruption problem, that a re-install may have corrected. Wouldn't have been the first time.

Thanks Leejor, I am definitely going to put 12 back on, as I like it much better, but I will have to wait till there is time for farting around to find out what is going on.

I did try an uninstall of all 3CX 12 items and reinstall but no luck. I will try it on another machine tomorrow, see how that goes.

I'm guessing, but if version 12 still encounters the same problems after a reinstall, there may be some compatibility issues with your audio drivers/audio hardware (some other audio programme?), on that PC.

Could you please tell us more about softphone which is installed on server and registered as extension 101 (Extn:101@[Dev:sip:[email protected]:54043;ob])?

DR tells this message only in case if there is no any chance to contact WebServer or understand answer provided by vxml generator. It is clearly described in 3CXIVRServer.trace.log.
As far as you have some additional software installed on "server" host (phone and "media center" services) then it also may cause some additional "problems"...

So, now your turn - please provide additional information about softphone and the log of IVR server.

Hello SY. Thanks for taking a crack at this. I am going to be very busy for the next few weeks, there will be no time to tool around with 3CX, but I will get back on the forum soon and continue on with this.
