Had a lightning strike nearby and it fried our server. RIP

Threw up a new server same internal IP, restored back up and everything is great. Extensions are in, Patton devices are there and everything was working. Verified they could make calls in and out. Packed up bags and left.

This morning customer says phones all say unavailable. Quick look theres no phones listed under then phones tab. They were there yesterday though. Not sure what i need to do.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advanced!

Hi @Dustyn

The phones will only show up if they are registered.

If the phones say "network unavailable" the first thing to check is the phones site to ensure they can reach the server.

did you restore a backup from same 3CX version ?

Only phones missing ?

No, we updated to 16 from the previous version. HOWEVER, I think I figured it out.

When we set up the server here in-house we restored backup and got it "working". That way we could to rack and mount it and be on our way.

When installing onsite, I switched IPs to the correct IP for their location.

Looking at the extensions now i noticed that the provisioning URL is listed as our in-house IP and not the correct IP. So it appears that the provisioning URL is not generated from the backup but upon creation after the backup is restored?

Just restored it again remotely and waiting to hear from their tech.

Update: Technically working now, though it appears i have to remove/reassign phones to extensions.

You may find the same thing tomorrow morning, when the phones reprovision themselves.

Is the provisioning url different in the 3cx management console, compared to the one on the phones ?

What happens if you manually reentered the provisioning url into the phone

The phone interface is showing the incorrect provisioning link on the broken phones.

ourip:5000/provisioning/020dvjwf162gbf

On the ones that i have manually fixed, removed phone from extension then readded under new devices, are correct.

I'm trying to find an easier way than doing each one manually. I've deleted all the extension and readded them back with the upload file. Rebooted one phone and factory reset another and they both are still not syncing up.

They pull IP's and pass through internet and can talk to the server cuz i can see them in the phone section as seen here.

The provisioning link is a random string generated on install, you can select an interface (under provisioning) on the extension to change between FQDN and IP but other than that should not see different strings unless something is seriously wrong.

What is incorrect in the provisioning link? Did the random provisioning folder change? If so you will need to delete the phones from the extensions, factory reset them and re-provision them.
