Hi,

Not sure anyone can assist, but as of 9 hours ago, our New York DIDs at VOIP.MS (SIP Provider) are unable to receive inbound calls due to some issue with the carrier (VOIP.MS's explanation). If the NY DID is called, just an audio message is heard "The Feature That You Are Currently Using Is Not Recognized By Our System....etc" As a lot of our customers require working phones, this is obviously very stressful and VOIP.MS is no help with their standard "The Carrier is working on it, hopefully it will be fixed by tonight" chat based support discussion. My question is, can anyone recommend a better SIP provider with better ability to resolve problems like this. And also, is it possible to quickly port DIDs in situations like this to another provider like ASAP (i.e. tomorrow).

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Quickly porting DID's is unheard of.
Have you/can you change Voip.ms servers?
Didn't they have a major outage about 45 days ago?

I use Flowroute and have had ZERO issues.

I just tested my Voip.ms and it was going to failover route - -but I see the issue - my DID is set to losangeles1 and my Sip Account was logged into losangeles2.
I changed SIP to login to losangeles1 and its working now,.

Hi craigreilly,

Thank you for your input. Unfortunately, we already tried switching sip servers (and verifying they match) with no success. The issue is at the DID level, where any DID (New York or Connecticut) held by VOIP.MS is currently met with either one of two audio messages:

"The Feature That You Are Attempting to Use Is Either Not Recognized By Our System or Is Currently Not Available To You."

Or

"The number you dialed is not a working number. Please check the number and dial again."

And yeah, I understand that porting DIDs quickly is nil. I will look in to moving to Flow Route as VOIP.MS seems in over their head with how to know how to fix things or give us an reasonable explanation as to what is going on. This is just ridiculous. We will lose clients because of this.

No carrier plans to have an outage. It's not good customer service. Unforeseen problems can happen to whichever provider you are with. Does it happen to some more often than others...perhaps, and certainly worth consideration when choosing a provider, but no service is guaranteed to never fail.
