So, when the receptionists transfer a call to an outside line, the recipient only sees the internal extension, ie, '1001', not the phone number of the call they are transferring. Is there any ability to correct this?

How is she receiving these calls? Are they direct (from an outside trunk) to her, or transferred from another set? If from another set, is it a blind or attended transfer?

Blind transfer from outside line.

This seems to suggest checking to see if the reception line is set to support re-invites.

But also suggests using blind transfer, which you say you already are.

It might also have something to do with the make/model, or settings on the receptionists set, you didn't say what it was.

They are using Polycom 550IPs.

How can I check to see if re-invites are supported?

In the 3CX extension options, I recall that being one of several options that you can select (tick boxes). As far as the set...I'm not familiar with that make/model. Hopefully someone else can supply additional information. The manual might be worth a look.

Found it. Support re-invites is checked.

It may be a set issue. Here is someone having the same issue, same make set, different PBX.

I'm not sure I agree with the DTMF link to the problem.

Hmm...I wonder if we could get a 3CX dev to confirm...

Did you check the "Outbound caller ID" under the "Other" tap within the user Extension?

It's blank. Since we're talking about incoming external calls, I don't think it would apply, right?
