Hello. I have a few clients that call into their phone number when they're out of the office to check their voicemail. Especially a few doctors that have an "emergency" extension for after hours calls.

Normally I've done the following: for the digital receptionist that answers the phone call, I have an unannounced 9 option that would transfer the call to the voicemail extension 999. They could then put in the extension they want to check and enter the pin.

Now in v20 I can't put in an extension -- it only gives me the options of user extensions.

Am I missing something here? I can't believe there's no way in v20 to call in to check voicemail.

They can dial 999 directly.

In v20 there’s an option to hide system extensions…not near a PC to look where, currently.

Check and ensure that the below option is Disabled:

They can dial 999 from the digital receptionist even if it isn't an selected option in the DR configuration?

Yes, any extension can be dialled directly.

It works for me.

Edit: can also specify a DID to forward to it (or conference bridge, etc.).
