As per the thread title.

3CX Debian VM 16.0.5.612

Doorbel i18s
Doorbel 2 i10v - I am aware its not supported

Both are provisioned however once I press call only audio is available on web client (Chrome). I don't have any IP (hard) Phones.

Regards,
Paul

  • 3CX Version Pro 16.0.5.612
  • Windows 2019 Server with Debian 9 VM
  • Local
  • FanVil i18s - FW 2.40.6516t
  • i10v FW 1.0
  • Provisioning Method: Local
  • Has the Firewall Checker passed: YES, all green
  • Are custom Phone Templates being used: YES
Basically we are connected to both phones. Audio calling works in both directions. However web client will not accept video.

Looks like your firmware is not updated at the moment.

1. Check the updates section of your PBX (it will download any pending firmware files)

2. If you provisioned the doorphone automatically using our guide then you simply need to go to the Phones section and the i18S should appear in red (in need of a firmware update).

3. Tick the device then click the +Firmware button to upgrade it for you.

Weird, its not allowing me to update. I will investigate!

Fanvil i18 (not s?) not sure what the deal with it is. I updated the firmware however I can't get it provision.

it's asking for a cfg fileScreen Shot 2020-05-13 at 13.35.47.png

The firmware version reported doesn't look right at all.

The expected user agent is i18S (the model we support) but here we see I18

I would doublecheck my model and firmware to be sure

Checking with the supplier now. Keep you posted.

I am reading everything I can find on the internet but I am strongly starting the believe that my supplier gave me a i18. I didnt even know that they excited.... Anyway, after manually provisioning it, it does work but since we need to install 400 units like this, I think this is save to say this will be a massive pain in the...

Tomorrow I will get a new(er) unit and we try again.

Is it correct that on the beta App video doesn't work yet with these IP doorbell phones? (web>iphone beta works)

I was not aware of them either, perhaps it was an early model that was quickly superseded
If the screenshot of a guide I found online is to be believed, it seems they did exist and run a different firmware altogether, but are not in our supported line of doorphones.

The i18S on the other hand is supported, can receive firmware updates via the management console, and can be auto provisioned and deployed locally, over SBC or as STUN.

Which app were you referring to specifically?

Thanks for the research. I also came to this conclusion. Also on the FanVil website there is one FW update that in ZIP format version 12.15xxxx file which the online file this unit accepts. The newer FW versions you refer to are .z files. The supplier admitted it was a i18. Funny enough the FW that was loaded on them didn't even mention it was FanVil... Anyway.. Tomorrow I am getting an i30 (hopefully) which is a bit smaller. Hopefully this works without to much headache.

The remote provisioning is exactly what I need. I can't really be bothered by installing 380+ units by hand...

The App I am referring to is the BETA iphone app.

I get image on the Webclient when calls are initiated from the Doorebel (i18 for now). However I only get audio of the App.

Webclient > Beta App werks (and vice versa). But that is another topic.

Thanks John. Keep you posted about tomorrow.

The apps work with the VP8/9 codec only, whereas (some)deskphones and the webclient can also do H264 which the doorphone sends.

Hi Paul

The i30 won't work with the 3cx webclient either as it uses h264 also. Like John says.

I have the ear of Fanvil as we are a distributor also. I will see if they have anything in the works.

Nick

@Nick W The Webclient does support H.264, I think you meant the mobile client

Correct.

Though so far I'm also having issue in the webclient. But I'm plugging in a ton of fanvil door phones today to test.

I do notice a quirk (of webRTC rather than the doorphone) but the first call may not have video after the device boots. The second call should be fine
