Not able call outside via broadvoice voip

hello.

I have the 3cx system running on the latest build on win xp. 2 extensions setup using grandstream 2000s and also a 3rd xlite soft phone. all can call each other fine on internal lan.

Inbound on voip line works fine - outside callers.

issue:
We're not able to call out from any of the 3 phones accross the brodvocie voip line (4155131120). example logs below trying to call a local 415 number.

we have the line set to allow outbound calls. and there is a default oubound rule set (no options) to allow any voip provider. We only have 1 currently.

thought? Sure i'm missing something fundemental.

also, when we call outbound we immediatley we hear "call failed - temporarily unavailable" on internal phone. same on all 3 phones.

Try setting "0" for number prefix and "r" for transform mask on the outbound rule. To dial an outside number add a "0" in front of the number. So as in your example dial "09021275".

Which build are you using?

I had the same problem with outbound connections using Broadvoice. Kevins information was right on target and helped me resolve the issue! Thanks

Ok, jumped ahead. I can connect, but recive the following StratLink:nHangUp: Call(C:1A): got Hang-Up from Ln:10000@Broadvoice

The phone I am calling never rings?

Any ideas?

Ok, so I am a newbie...

I wanted to share for other newbies.

Since using the 'r' without the '' on the outbound rules it was dropping the first digit. Since I am US based I was dialing the 10 digit number e.g 1112223333

The call was being dropped because the first digit was missing (from the 'r' designation) adding the preceding 1 to the 10 digit number resulted in a successful outbound call.

In addition, removing the 'r' from the outbound rule and dialing the 10 digit number also resulted in a successful call.

Still no luck dialing out

I now have set the outbound prefix to "9", and have added a "r" for the transform mask. Still no luck, now getting "error 480", logs below.

i ahve tried to dial the following:

915108680845
95108680845
98680845

same for other numbers in 415 area code. same as my broadvoice account.

all result in same error.

Perhaps a silly question......

Did you enable outbound on the line you are using. It is a tick box in the config on 3cx.

Also you can setup your outbound dial prefix to be for what provider (Read ATA).

So if your ATA (gateway) dictates you need to put a prefix before the number you need to tell 3cx about that.

Have you specified to use the correct outbound provider ?

YOu can configure this in the same area as the outbound rule

Make outbound calls on
VOIP Gateway Any gateway
VOIP Provider Your provider (it is a drop down box that take the details from your lines configuration)

What type of phone are you using? Some like Cisco and Polycom have a config file that has a Dialing Plan (Mask), this can be a little tricky because 3CX has an out bound rule that can be configured. If you are using 9 with the outbound rule and you have a dialing plan in your config file for your phone and are US based this may be causing an issue.
