Not able to see password & QR code in 3CX welcome email.

Hi,

I am on 3CX Version 18 Update 9 (Build 20). Recently, we find that when the user receives 3CX welcome email, the password, QR code and config file is missing. Can I know why is it so and how to resolve the issue?

Hi there.
It has been a while since we removed QR code from the Welcome email, and it seems that you are using a custom email template in there.
QR code now can be scanned from the Webclient, or Admin console when login as System owner, and Management console since its V18.

HI, thanks for the reply. In that case, can I know how to change to the default email template in order to show the password reset in the welcome email instead

You are welcome. Yes, that looks better, so now let the user sign in and then scan the code from the Webclient.

Hi,

We faced another issue. The user has forgotten the password and clicking "Forgot Password?". After keying the extension/email & Reset Password, the user did not receive the reset email.

We verified the email is not in quarantine or spam folder in user email. Is there anyway to check in the the 3CX log if the password reset email is being sent out?

You should download the support log zip and check the 3cxmanagementconsole.log you may need to up the logging to see.
