  • 3CX Version, Standard Annual 16.0.8.9
  • Server OS, e.g. Debian 9
  • Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? Hosted on Google Cloud VM
  • IP Phone Make/Model/Firmware: Snom D735 Firmware Version 10.1.64.17
  • Provisioning Method: STUN
  • Trunk Provider or Gateway Make/Model: SIP Trunk is Flowroute
  • Has the Firewall Checker passed: YES
  • Are custom Phone Templates being used: NO (3cx templates)
I have users that have a 3 phone set up in a ring group running SNOM D735s.
SIP trunk forwards all call to this ring group. User is complaining that they have sporadic moments where only 1 of the 3 phones rings, even if others are not on a call.
I've done a bunch of troubleshooting steps, just wondering if someone has suggestions or experience with this behavior?

But my guess is that these phones are setup improperly as STUN. If so, you should use a SBC.

I updated post with additional info.
And thanks for the info, I will review it. It is on STUN, and we have 10 other clients on the same setup, just different phones, and haven't had this issue before but I will look into your suggestion... anything specific to look at in regards to improper STUN config on top of the guide?

Have each of the sets been assigned a unique local SIP port?

Instead of configuring your phones for stun, install a SBC server

Hello @jpatel,

If you want to avoid all of this completely, I'd follow the advice of other users above and use an SBC.

Thanks for the solution. With the amount of clients we have (not very many), I lose practice with the configs. But also this is the first time I've had this issue out of all 12 of our clients, and have never done individual RTP ports and port forwards in the past. This client was one of our smaller ones, and were functioning okay for 5 months of "sharing" RTP ports. But anyways, we told the client to call us again if they have issues again, and haven't heard anything so I will take that as a case solved. Thanks for the help.
