Notification Sound during calls (loud DING!)

Every conversation I have using the android client gives notifications approx every 30 seconds accompanied with the notification sound. This is very loud and very annoying. Happens on Wifi and 4G.

I joined the Beta group to see if running the Beta version of the app, might alleviate the issue. It did not.

- turning off app notifications does not stop the "DING"
- turning off ALL app notifications does not stop the "DING"
- setting the sound to Java did not work (nor OpenSL)
- finally, re-setting the phone, did not fix the problem

I have an idea of what this might be. Could you leave your phone locked for about 30 seconds and then unlock it and open the 3CX app?

Moments after the 3CX app opens and it's connected successfully, you hear the generic system notification sound?

I tried that and the 3CX app makes no sound (phone is not on mute) when it starts from a locked screen.

For good measure, I rebooted the phone and tried it again. Same result, no sound when 3CX logging in.

So the issue happens in the following case?

1. Receive a chat.
2. Phone loudly makes a 'ding' notification.
3. You open the 3CX app to reply to the message.
4. As the 3CX app connects, you hear another 'ding' notification?

No, sorry. When I receive a call or make a call. (Not Chat)

It can also go "bonkers" sometimes when I hang up after a call. 3? rapid "DINGS".

I've never seen this type of behavior. I think at this point we'd need to see some logs about this.
Could you go to your 3CX app > Settings > Advanced > Send Report right AFTER you've reproduced this issue once?

This will send us a log file of what exactly the app did and why it's doing this.
