Hello everyone,
I've just updated my 3CX to V16 (Pro) and i'm unable to find the ODBC Data source in the contact tab anymore ?!
Is this a normal behaviour ? How am i supposed to use this feature like i used to ?
Thank you
Regards
F.M

Thank you, i've missed this announcement... I wonder if i can still use my firebird odbc connection as it is not listed. I'm gonna give this a try.
Thanks !

I'm unable to find the same settings for my firebird database. Looks like it isn't possible to use my firebird odbc driver with this anymore as it is now using is own connector. Did i miss something ?

Anyone able to confirm that we are unable to use an ODBC DSN configured like it used to ?
Looks like we cannot use a database format which is not supported natively ?!
How about adding a standard DSN in the list to cover the database unsupported ?
Thank you

So basicaly, i've lost a feature i was using for years and no one cares ?

Hello,

I have the same problem, it's very annoying

Hello,

The ODBC functionality has been deprecated in v16, and replaced with the database integrations:
https://www.3cx.com/blog/docs/pbx-sql-database-integrations/

The supported databases are:
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • PostgreSQL
  • MySQL
  • MongoDB

These databases are supported in both Windows and Linux installations.

If you need to synchronize a different database, you will need to create a .NET Core program to do it, using the Call Control API. This way you can connect to your database from your program, and insert the contacts in 3CX as needed.

Kind regards.

We still support the most widely used databases. We decided to keep the same feature set for both Windows and Linux installations, and ODBC is not available on Linux, so it's been removed.

So for now i cannot connect to my ERP customer database like i used to.
Would it be possible to add a Firebird (https://firebirdsql.org/) support in a future build ?
Thank you

I will send the information to the Project Manager, I can't promise anything, but we will evaluate it.

I follow this guide, now I can see only few contacts from sqlserver

Contacts are added when they call to 3CX. There is no full synchronization.

ok and if I want to full import contacts from sqlserver?
how to populate contacts from other sources?
thanks

You would need to export the contacts to CSV, and then import them from the 3CX Console.
