Hey

I got a new template I made for a custom integration and it all works well beside one thing: it always returns more than 1 result, meaning it creates more than 1 contact every time.

For example, if I search for "5141235555", I get this in the results. (Also, twice an "Unparsed Output")

Code:
Variable ContactID set to 370631
Variable FirstName set to Paul
Variable LastName set to Piche
Variable CompanyName set to ConceptsWeb
Variable Email set to [email protected]
Variable PhoneBusiness set to 5141235555
Variable PhoneMobile set to 5141235555

Variable ContactID set to 370630
Variable FirstName set to Fred
Variable LastName set to Test
Variable CompanyName set to ConceptsWeb
Variable Email set to [email protected]
Variable PhoneBusiness set to 5141235555
Variable PhoneMobile set to 5141235555

Finished scenario with empty id

What can cause this? I do have set
XML:
SkipIf="[IIf([FoundRecordCount]>0,True,False)]"

Hello Fred,

The SkipIf attribute only checks before invoking the HTTP request. However, if a single HTTP request returns multiple contacts, then all of them will be processed, so this might be normal. In this case, it seems the returned JSON includes 2 contact records, and that's what you receive...

Yes but then it creates those 2 records in the phonebook. Why isn't it taking the first one only?

All the contacts returned by the template are added to the phonebook. Only the first one will be passed on to the 3CX client.

Just for your reference, in U4 we will make the contact synchronization optional, so you will be able to disable it and get popups anyway for the first returned contact.

Sweeet!

Can we do call journaling WITHOUT a contact? I saw many templates now having

SkipIf="EntityId==''"

Yes, you can, if you don't skip the ReportCall scenario when there is no EntityId. The standard templates don't do that, because we need to log the call for a specific contact, but if your CRM allows that, you can do it.

We log based on DIDs, not contacts, for one customer so yeah, it is cool that we can do that!

Now, just need the DID in either lookup or reportCall ;)

@edossantos Also, small suggestion for U4 (since it could be really easy to do, or not):

It would be nice if we could save an extension number in the phone fields we import from CRM. Right now, if a number as "x101" at the end, it doesn't match as you know. But it could be sweet to have a place to save an ext number for contacts with the same CID but when dialing out, we'd wanna know their extension.
