I have setup global office hours.
My extension is 501 and it has my mobile number entered as well. Connected in my SPA941.
I have my 3CX iPhone APP on another extension, 550 (haven't looked at the possibility of sharing one extension yet and the ramifications but I think this is the setup we need to be able to route calls in a grouped/hunted fashion to different devices/phones for one extension).
Right now x501 is configured to ring my cell phone simultaneously (not the VOIP extension on my cell phone, just the cell phone number). Right now is also after business hours (weekend which has no hours and past the time we have set for weekdays anyhow).
When I call from an outside line I get our after hours greeting, good. When I enter my extension, 501, I get the transfer message and then my cell phone rings from the VOIP app AND the regular cell phone number. Both ring almost simultaneously and almost as quick they both stop. My SPA941 does not ring at all (as it should).
Problems:
1. x505 (iPhone VOIP) is not tied to ANY of this at all. Why would the software ring on my phone?
2. My cell phone should not be called since it is after business hours.
Any help on this confusing situation? Really appreciate all the help provided in this community supported forum!
An addendum is that the iPhone VOIP app does not work as advertised in "background" or "multitask" mode. When the phone sits idle, locked or unused after a period of time it is no longer connected to the system. I understand the limitations of background processes but I also read other threads that say "Wait for version 1.1.5" so maybe that will be solving the issue.
