Hi All

I've been playing around with off system backups

So having my backups go to an offsite storage

Took a little to get setup and working but works (want as much security as I can :P )

One issue I've run into

When I do a manual backup so log into the system and tell it to backup now works 100% ok to my offsite FTP server

But Scheduled Backups fail

Keep getting the following

Your 3CX backup failed due to the following reason(s):
Sedcom-3CX\3CXScheduledBackup.zip.tmp : STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED

Now I can log in right now and run a backup and will work then Schedule 5 minutes later and it will fail

This is Happening on V18 and V20 Systems

Any thoughts

This is an issue related with permissions on your remote location.
You need to ensure that ensure that the location folder has all the permissions for the PBX as the scheduled backup will first create the tmp backup file and then check rotation and rename.

Ive checked and the user has full access to this folder its working in so can delete, make, write, modifiiy Everything

Have you also assigned the "Full Control" permission on the shared folder?

The error clearly indicate that it is permissions issue.
Try creating a new folder with all permissions assigned and check again.

I have moved the Backup to the root folder same issue

Its strange that the system can make up backup manual no issue but not automatically its the same Read/Write access to do this

So again 3CX has issue not my Permissions

No this is not a 3CX issue.
To clarify here, there is difference between the direct backup and the scheduled. For the scheduled a tmp file is created, when this will finish it will check the rotation and rename file accordingly.
The error you see is not a 3CX error but from your remote location and you need to check.
