Solved on the way to sp6 and now checking for updates is unable to find 3cx update servers

started out on sp2 and went through a few updates with no issues. no i'm on sp6 15.5.15502.6 and the update option shows a progress bar for a while and then says unable to find 3cx update servers check internet connectivity.

i'm not sure what happened here but i went through at least 4 or 5 updates in a row and now i'm stuck on the first release of 6.

does anyone know what the fqdn of the 3cx update server is so i can check connectivity? i can get on the internet from the server using firefox without any issue (3cx is on server 2012r2)

i nslookup works fine for downloads.3cx.com and i can http://downloads.3cx.com from the server using firefox and up at the answering service there where the browser tab says "i am here eu"

it looks like my connectivity is ok

any ideas?

i have rebooted the server and no success, i guess i'll do a packet trace next and see what i find.

downloads.3cx.com resolves to 151.80.125.73 which i can get to using a browser but no ping reply. packet trace does not show any traffic to this ip. i have geo ip filter enabled on my firewall. ip location finder sites show this ip in france or uk which i have both open on my firewall.

i turned off geo ip filter and it's working now. it looks liek something is not right with my firewall geo ip filtering.

anyway 15502 looks like the latest and now i have everything else up to date also.

Glad to see the issue has been resolved and thank you for updating the thread with your solution. Indeed version 15.5.15502.6 is the latest so you should be OK now.
