One way audio in Queue behind SBC

Hi All,

I have an issue where extensions that sit behind an SBC and are in queue cannot hear the calling party (External) but external party can hear extension.

If my EXT in the queue are changed the STUN then audio both ways is fine.

If i add these EXT behind the SBC to a group instead, then audio both ways is fine.

Has anyone come across this issue before?

I've searched this forum and i've tried turning off/on accept reinvites and also PBX delivers audio to no avail.

Phones are Fanvil X4 on supported FW with default templates, PBX and SBC are up to date.

Oddly enough the FW on my X3's were out of date (they werent earlier in the aftenoon). Updating to FW2.8.0.6251 seems to have sorted the problem.

do you know how often these phones check for FW updates to become "unsupported" ?

It is surprising how often a firmware update (or downgrade) will "correct" an issue you wouldn't suspect would be responsible.

Glad to see the issue has been resolved. The phones are marked as unsupported when the management console downloads a newer firmware. It is the management console that deems the phones unsupported as it compares the version it currently has with the version the phones are running.

out curiousity how often does it check? I had the phones plugged in a good 30-45 mins and the MGMT reported all was OK

Once the new firmware is downloaded you should see the phones immediately flagged as not supported. You may need to refresh your phones tab to see the change.
