option to send all traffic of the 3CX app over mobile network regardless if wifi is available?

I guess this is not possible because the android system (even if in the developer options there is a tickmark which is selected by default to keep the mobile network online even if wifi is connected) will send all traffic through wifi if connected.
Correct?
If not, an option to use the mobile network would be a good thing, just like the remain always connected option introduced recently. If you move while using the phone, and if your mobile needs to roam between different APs or frequencies, it happens frequently that the app only does reconnect - sometimes for minutes, making it impossible to make a phone call or permantly interrupting it. The mobile network however is good enough and there are less problems when roaming.
But as I told in the beginning, I guess this is not possible.

Not gonna lie, this could be useful sometimes. But yeah, it's an OS thing and they cannot control that.

However, Wi-Fi is still good but the roaming has to be configured correctly, otherwise you do run into disconnections.

Well, you can try to configure your Wifi the best as possible, but if the range comes to the end you cannot do much (unless you find a Wifi Power Settng which 100% will make the office lit with wifi, but outside no reception).
This is the most painful experience I get. I drive to the office, beeing in a call, perfect quality. Now, when I approach the Office the phone tries to connect to the wifi, but somehow it will not get a good reception. Result: the app only beeps, and if this occurs for a longer time, then it even wont reconnect after I am inside. Also, my partner has long ago disconnected the call, this only takes 10 sec.
Roaming and Wifi is a good thing, but why interrupt a call having a perfect reception in favour of a network of unknown quality. That could be done after the call, but not during the call.
Makes me yell and furious everytime it happens.
The same happens when I drive or move around in the near of a customers building.

Regarding Wifi to Wifi (same netork) roaming: everytime roaming happens a short disconnect will occur. It happes more likely when I am logged in in a Network using Wifi-Enterprise authentication, I read this is because of the enterprise authentication has to be done again when changing the AP. But going back from Enterprise wifi to PSK is not an option.

Seems there is no fix besides of activating wifi only manually if it is safe to use if you want uninterrupted calls.

I see your point but I just want to clarify that, as @ConceptsWeb pointed out, this is indeed the device automatically switching from the mobile data connection to Wifi so it's really out of 3CX's control.

Rooting a phone is not really the best advice to give.

Regarding rooting if rooting phone, is a good or bad advice is a completely other discussion. I only found out that if you have root you are able to bind an app to the port used by the mobile network, even if wifi is active, and you are able to send and receive packets this way.
