OS Requirements for Azure Transcription

I set up Azure transcription shortly after our upgrade to 15 SP4, but have never seen a successful transcription. I just went to go through the setup guide again A to Z, but noticed at the top of the article that the OS requirements are Win8 or Server 2012 or newer. Our 3CX currently resides on a Win7 box. Is this the most likely cause of the failure?

Out of curiosity, anyone know what drives this requirement? I can fire up a new VM some time this week and transition the PBX over to it if I need to.

Hello @leviticus

Please note that Voicemail transcription will not work with Windows 7 as the voicemail transcription requires some DLL files not available in the specific OS. I would recommend moving the PBX to a Windows 10 or Server 2012 or newer OS.

How about Windows Server 2008 R2? I've set mine up, and likewise never seen a successful transcription.

Hmm.. don't remember seeing that requirement but I'm on Debian and it works fine.

Oh.. that's just the requirement for Windows installs, nevermind.
