OT: Softphone headphone suggestions

I'd like to use my laptop for an external extension when I am out of the office. The 3cx and other softphones work but I don't have a microphone on my laptop.

Any recommendations? I have an old one from Plantronics that I can't get to work with Vista. I will admit I haven't put much time into it but I should have been plug and play. Plus it's rather large to carry around.

Does anyone use a bluetooth one?
There are so many brands and models with pricing all over the place. I don't want to spend a lot ($30US?) unless you say it's necessary.

Actually on my Laptop I use an old USB phone that was originally for Skype. The numerical keys are useless on 3CX but the mic & speaker combo works fine. Cost under US$10 when I bought it a couple of years back, is easy to pack, and works fine for the occasional calls on the laptop. I did try bluetooth but drove me nuts when the laptop and my cell phone were both fighting for it. Just a bit too much technology :?
