Without changing anything, instead of seeing the caller's real caller ID, now all we see in our phones is the caller id of the land line we forwarded to our sip trunk line to feed the 3cx setup.

How can I get the caller's real ID to show again in my phones?

using 18.0 Update 3 (Build 461)Version
and telonline sip lines I've had for over a year. Working just fine. But no more.

I might have used the telnyx template to configure, dont remember.

If callers are dialing a PSTN number, and that number is forwarded to a SIP trunk, on your PBX, then this is not a 3CX issue. 3CX is simply passing on the caller ID received. I would suspect that it is a change at the PSTN provider end. While a PSTN forwarded call will normally pass on the original callers number, your PSTN provider may have made a (policy?) change, that now prevents this. Perhaps a SPAM call, related change.

As a test, I would change the forwarded number to another destination, call it, and see which number comes through. If it is still the PSTN line, then contact your PSTN provider for an explanation.

Thanks I will give that a try.

I have done testing as suggested and it turns out it was the PSTN line. I forwarded to my cellphone and sure enough, same issue. Thanks leejor.

Until informed, the PSTN company may not know that this behavior has even changed. It could be that the calls are routing over a recently established trunk group, or using a different intermediate provider, and things were not set up correctly. or at least, the same way as it used to work.
