Solved Outbound Caller ID

Hello,

We are wanting to change our outbound caller ID to our company name instead of our number, is this possible? I have tried changing the Caller ID on the SIP Truck and I also tried to change the From : Display Name on the outbound parameters and it did not fix our issue.

You cannot use a name (alpha characters) where a number must be, with the hopes that it is sent instead. In most cases the name sent (along with a number) will be the one from the destination providers database. It will vary from provider to provider. As far as the number, you can choose send one or not, but you cannot replace it with a name.

My recommendation would be to speak to your provider about this before applying any changes. If they allow this they will tell you how it needs to be setup in the PBX.

Thanks for all the replies! Our current provider (Nexmo) does not offer CNAM for outbound calls. We are looking for different providers now that offer CNAM.
