Hello,

We are using 3cx v 15.5 SP6 with VoipTalk.
The issue that i'm facing now is that when an outgoing call is made, at the destination it shows the main trunk number, instead of the caller-id provided in the extension settings.

Can someone please let me know what are the fields that has to be changed for the destination to be shown the caller-id from extension settings and not the main trunk number.
I'm also attaching the outbound parameters under the SIP Trunk.

Thank you.

There is a setting "Outbound caller ID" in the extension(s) themselves, have you given this a go ?

Hello @techdummy

I would recommend using a 3CX supported provider to ensure compatibility and have a pre-configured template to help you eliminate any manual configuration. As we have not tested VoipTalk i cannot be sure what the correct settings are for the provider or if this is even possible with the this provider. If i were you however i would change the "From: Display Name" and "From: User Part" to "OutboundCallerID".

Thanks but the outbound caller ID was already provided under the Extension settings.
It was still not taking the caller ID from the extension setting, rather it was taking the Main Trunk number. That was the issue.

Thanks but Voiptalk is our primary trunk and this was chosen mainly because it was a 3cx supported career back when we switched to 3cx. It was only later Voiptalk became an unsupported career, right now we aren't very keen in changing the providers.

About the issue, the reason was that we were trying to send a Voip Unlimited numbers through Voiptalk trunk, which is the reason why it wasn't happening. It was working when we changed the number to a Voiptalk number.

Thank you.

Glad to see the issue has been resolved and thank you for updating the thread with your solution.
