I've been using and configuring 3CX for some time now.
Previously, whenever we wanted to have anonymous caller ID we would leave the "Caller ID" field on an extension blank as well as in the outbound rule. The outbound call would then appear as "Anonymous"
However, for some reason out of nowhere the outbound caller ID is now displaying and I'm trying to figure out where it is getting this information from. I've run a packet capture and 3CX is sending the CLID in the invite. The "Remote Party ID - Calling Party : User Part" is set to ""OutboundCallerId" Outbound Caller ID Taken from Extension Settings in Management Console". I've checked every single extension and they all have no caller id set, but some how it still displays.
The current SIP trunk is as follows
- Country: Generic
- Provider: Generic SIP Trunk
- Registration: None, IP based (we host our 3CX customers in our Co-Lo which is local to our SIP Trunk service)
Any ideas where this is coming from would be greatly appreciated.
