Good Evening,

I have a bit a query guys, I hope you can help.

Starting to really get to grips with the 3CX phone system.

I have a sip trunk, and I am looking to set it so i can differentiate the outgoing number. Normally they go out through one external number, but i want to be able to 'on-demand' force calls through another external number in the trunks.

Is anyone able to advise please.

Thanks in advance.

Rich

Hi leejor,

What i am struggling with is actually separating the calls. We could do as seperate extensions, but would need to keep logging out of the phone as cannot add multiple externsions on the same tenant to the phones.

I wondered about a prefix ahead of the number i'm calling, but struggling with that a little.

the two outbound numbers are part of the same sip trunk

Any advice would be awesome

For example:

Reorder this above other rules

If you use an existing outbound prefix, like "9", then that rule can remain, but send one Outbound caller ID as defined in the rule. Then, simply add a second rule, that uses 8 as a prefix, and put in a different Outbound caller ID.
Of course, if you have multiple rules, for local, national and international numbers, they you would have to duplicate each, with the new prexix, and caller ID.
