Hi there, I've done a quick search on using outlook with 3CX, and making calls from it - but from what i understand/read, it seems that you can only make calls using the softphone?

Is there away to use outlook and make it ring say a Snom phone? And if it can be done,
How would it you set it up? Is it possible to roll out across a network? How would you tell it to send the call to a particular handset?

---------------------
I've also read that it is possible to do this using access, but cant seem to find a method to set this up. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

This functionality works out of the box. The outlook integration will trigger a call via TAPI and this will ring your soft phone or hard phone or both, depending what you have. THen you can take the call.

You can trigger this function from any application that can make a post request. See how here:

Note that the Outlook/TAPI/Http post functionality requires a Paid edition
