Is there a setting that would override inbound rules? We have a couple DIDs that are supposed to go to specific extensions. It is correct in the management console Inbound Rules, but the calls are going to the receptionist. The Activity Log shows calls to that DID are going to the receptionist as well.

Hello @Rorourke09

The issue you are facing is probably due to the format of the number the provider is sending does not match the format of your DIDs. This results in the PBX not matching the incoming call to an inbound rule and sending the call to the main trunk number destination.
To resolve this check your Activity log for the Invite from the provider. The look at the number the provider is sending and adjust your DIDs to match that. Alternatively you can use a wildcard in front of your DIDs to force the PBX to try and match only digits following the wildcard. For example if your number is +44123456789 you can add it as *23456789.

Typically when inbound rules are not being honored it is because your DID is not using wildcards. For example, if your DID is something like 1234567890 and your carrier is sending 11234567890 (prepending the country code) 3CX doesn't find a match and routes the call to the default route. As a best practice always create your DID with the least number of digits needed to ensure they are unique. For example *4567890. This way, regardless of how your carrier sends the number, 3CX will always find a match.

That was it. Thanks so much.

Glad to see the issue has been resolved
