I received this email from our rep with the ISP to solve our caller ID issues.

"Can you include the “P-Assert” parameter in the INVITE message. The P-Assert parameter holds the number you want to display at the far end and grants the permission to display it."

I looked and the only 3CX forum post I could find is from 2006, saying: "At this point in time 3CX does not make use of P-Asserted fields in the INVITES we build."

Source: https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/custom-fields-in-invite-string.9710/

I'm hoping that has changed. Where (and how) do I amend the INVITE message? Thanks,

Well, actually, it sends the calling party number, but withholds permission to display it.
Equivalent to using *67 on a PSTN phone line, in North America.

Hello @Shadragon

You can include the P-Asserted-Identity parameter in the Invite message to the provider. Navigate to your trunk settings / Outbound parameters and configure the P-Asserted-Identity fields. Here's an example on how to configure it but depending on what your provider supports this may require some changes.

Hmmm, my P-Assert is already set to those exact settings.

Will have to follow up with one of their engineers. Thanks.

OK, I thought I'd post my findings. We had the PBX set up correctly, but our phone numbers under Extension > General > Outbound Caller ID needs to be in the format of:

+1441XXXYYYY No spaces, hyphens, brackets or dashes and the + symbol is mandatory. Hope that info saves someone else a headache.

Glad to see the issue has been resolved and thank you for updating the thread with your solution.
