Hi all,
I’m trying to identify the cause of an issue with my outgoing SIP messages, where the following header is being inserted:
P-Asserted-Identity: "+442XXXXXXXXX" sip:anonymous
I need to either modify or completely remove the sip:anonymous portion, but I haven’t been able to determine where this host part of the P-Asserted-Identity is being generated. I’ve narrowed the problem down to a P-Asserted-Identity host part configuration issue, but I cannot find any relevant settings in my current configuration.
For reference, the P-Asserted-Identity header needs to follow one of the formats below:
From: sip:+yournumber@yourIP/Domain
From: "sometext" sip:+yournumber@yourIP/Domain
I’m able to edit the number portion of the P-Asserted-Identity without any problem — it’s specifically the host part that I’m struggling with.
Has anyone encountered this issue before? Where is the P-Asserted-Identity host portion typically configured, and what might cause it to default to sip:anonymous?
Any guidance or insight would be greatly appreciated.
