Hello, I'm having audio quality issues on a new install and I have a 3CX support ticket open on it. The install is hosted by 3CX and I'm trying to run a packet capture on my SBC, which is on a Windows 10 VM. I can't get Wireshark to run - the tshark command keeps failing with 'tshark is not recognized as an internal or external command".

The support engineer understandably says troubleshooting Wireshark is outside their scope of support, so I was hoping someone on here could help? It's the most recent version of Wireshark downloaded from Wireshark.org. I'm not very familiar with packet captures so it might be something obvious that I don't know. Thank you

Hi @armast

I have yet to encounter a wireshark installation gone wrong but I guess there is always the possibility. Does normal wireshark run? If so start your CMD as an administrator and try like that.

Also navigate in the wireshark installation folder C:\Program Files\Wireshark and see if you can find the tshark.exe file. If its there double click it and see if it runs.

Also in CMD first navigate to C:\Program Files\Wireshark> and then run the tshark command provided to you by our support.

If nothing helps try to reinstall wireshark from scratch.
