i setup a page group in the ring groups tab and included all the office extensions which are all fanvil x4's with up to date firmware. all extensions are setup the same and work as they should except for two. when i dial the page group number, the page tone is emitted from all extensions except for two. those two extensions ring as if they are receiving a call. the caller id shows the name of the page group. when paging is done, those two phones show a missed call from that extension. there is nothing different about these extensions than the rest.

wanted to post to see if anyone has seen this behavior before i dig too deep.

thanks

Make sure that those phones are provisioned with the official template and if so, do a factory reset then reprovision.

The 3CX templates are supposed to enable to Auto-Answer on Call-Info for the Intercom/Paging feature. The behavior should be the same for any supported phones.

i am using one custom template for all of these phones. the template only changes the blf keys on the fanvil x4's. i don't know anything about auto-answer on call-info. i'll have to dig in the phones' web portal to see if there is anything in there. i haven't done anything yet to remedy this. i'll start by reprovisioning those phones to see if that make a difference

thank you for the suggestion

i checked in the web portal of the problem phones and found an allow intercom check box that was not enabled versus other phones that were working and had the flag enabled. checked the flag and applied the changes and now they are working as they should. i'm not sure why these would be different the rest of the phones as they were all provisioned at the same time with the same template. i'll have to dig.

thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.

Check the template if the setting is not commented out. Sometimes those settings are on at factory default so there's no need to set the flag. That's why 3CX always recommend a factory reset before reprovision.
