Parking Orbits room query

Have been reading up on using Parking Orbits to allow phone app users to put people on hold, as they dn't have the BLF/SP option. My question is, is there a way to see if an orbit/room already has someone in it?
Parking orbits allow multiple calls to be parked in each 'room' (eg *01), and it says that if someone tries to pick up a call from that room, it will pick up the first call that was parked there.
This seems a messy way to get people picking up the wrong calls, so is there a way to determine if an orbit/room is already in use, so you can make sure to park someone in the next available room? Bearing in mind this is being done from a phone app, so they don't have the standard Panel displays

The parking orbits dont have any indication, unlike a shared parking.

There are 10 parking orbit slots however.

*0X is to park calls where X is a slot number from 0-9.
*1X is to pick up the calls where X is a slot number from 0-9

Think of the shared parking slots as normal parking lots, and the parking orbit as a tax rank. where there are multiple calls in a line and you wont be able to select the one you want, but rather the one at the front.

So you can tell the people using it to use each individual parking slot.

Why are we even talking about the old "Parking Orbit" feature? We should all be using "Shared Parking" correct?

With Shared Parking you can increase the number of locations significantly, Even with pretty large organizations everyone can have their own dedicated park location. Program that location as a BLF on your phone, and then forget about stepping on each other. Since you are the only person placing callers at this location, you will never (presumably) have more than one person in your personal parking location.

And the BLF will light up so you do not forget you put someone on park!

I reread the post and realized the no BLF problem. Hummm, I don't think there is an easy way to transfer a caller to SP01. So they are using analog or phones with no BLF?

The mobile apps now have BLF functionality, which should allow you to use BLFs.

Thanks Nicholas, I will check it out. What sort of timeframe is there usually from Beta features to 'live'? Just have a lot of customers that will be excited by this!

It shouldn't take too long. An exact timeframe cannot be given but it is usually a few weeks.
