I have been chasing this issue for several days now and i need some help.

I got a patton 4112 FXO(2) port device and it worked fine out of the box. Had to move the server and got a new IP for 3cx server and for the 4112, figured that it would be as easy as a new ip for the 2 devices, and al tho i can see the connection made in the 3cx server when ever i make a call i cant get a connection.

Here is the 3cx log for this call, i need to punch 9 to dial out

09:12:53.272 [CM503020]: Normal call termination. Reason: Server Failure

09:12:41.913 [CM503001]: Call(52): Incoming call from Ext.100 to <sip:[email protected]>

And here are the patton screen shots

Why the different port numbers?

So yea that is an external IP, but why would it be trying to dial out to that it when the 3cx server and the gateway are on the same lan with private ips.

where would this rule be coimng from, since i belive that i covered the outbound rule to pint to the lan gateway

ext 100 is an external extension, that could be the reason that its routing the call from the external ip to the 3cx server

Sorry, I modified my previous post after thinking that that 3CX was probably a remote server, which explained the public IP. Did you modify the IP info in the 3CX trunk section, to reflect the gateways new IP?

yes and as far as the 3cx server is concerened its ok

So the IP and port, that the gateway first registers with (after a power up), matches the IP and port that you have datafilled in the 3CX trunk section. Don't forget that unlike a set, with a gateway you need to tell 3CX it's IP (which I've never really understood the reasoning for).

yes as far as i can tell the 3cx server is talking with the patton device proper

In the original log that you posted, it doesn't show the actual IP of 3CX, just the public IP and the private IP of the Gateway. Where did you change the IP of the server running 3CX, in 3CX, and what is it set to currently?

What is the problem
