The 3CX site says the Trinity firmware will NOT work.

The Patton site says: Due to the fast evolvement of VoIP, routing, and SBC functionalities being developed by Patton for the SmartNode product line, more and more system memory is being required. To cope with the increased memory needs, accommodating features being made available in the future, the hardware of SmartNode products need to go along, requiring being upgraded as well. All new hardware (SN4990A) support Trinity Software only.

Has there been any change on the 3CX side that hasn't been updated on the website? I am looking for a Supported gateway for a PRI. Customer is under contract and has several more years to go so they will not be switching to SIP. I need something with availability in the USA.

Unless it's a true copper PRI most providers will switch the hand-off under contract, often with like a $500 conversion fee. Even with a true copper PRI sometimes they will convert to SIP because the wholesale pricing for the circuits are cheaper. But otherwise you can use the Patton with the Patton provided templates. Patton support is very good.

Trinity software will work with 3CX, the responsibility for support has simply been passed over to Patton to provide the templates - I have been using and supporting Trinity models with 3CX for a while now without issue (so have others): https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/patton-sn4171-pri-fails.63126/

Here are the supported templates: https://support.patton.com/index.ph...tton-trinity-smartnode-configuration-with-3cx

FYI I have tested these successfully with v16 also. Patton gateways are by far the best quality and easiest to troubleshoot out of the range in my opinion. They also offer amazing flexibility.

If you have any questions or need any support let me know.
