I had a very difficult time programming a Patton SN4170 to work with 3CX version 18
In the end the software on both devices work - it just takes a certain method to get them working
Firstly update Patton firmware - I updated it to the latest version at the time 3.15.9-20061

Program 3CX with Patton gateway E1 - dont select the wrong model ie SN4171 - choose the Patton ISDN E1
In put the just the essential information in the SIP gateway (no need to modify SIP parameters)
Get a Wizard file from the Patton website - its free to signup and log into their portal
When in Patton portal look for Configuration Wizards - particularly the one that is made for 3cx systems
The use the wizard file to program the Patton device and reload.
