Is there a way to get alerted via email when one of our PBX's go down?

If the PBX simply dies, then it will not be able to send an email (no dying gasp). Same if it looses it's internet connection. no way to send an email. To monitor several PBX's I use a Cisco set (others may do this too) with various keys, each registered to a different PBX. If the extension is unable to register , the line key will go solid amber (programmable), and i know there is an issue. Of course, this could take up to 30 minutes, (or the maximum re-registration interval).

Yes, that makes sense. I was hoping Instance Manager would be able to see that a PBX is down and send an alert. Unfortunately i could not find any alerting settings.

are you running your 3cx on prem ( locale ) or in cloud? You can use services like uptimerobot / pingdom etc. for cloud hosted, or internal monitoring ( incinga, cacti, nagios, zabbix - just to call a few )

This is a good point. I understand (and currently use) the use of an outside system to ping the server and report outages but this would be a nice feature to have within instance manager since it is checking the status of the server anyway.

A good feature request would be to have notification options for different things in instance manager.

Unfortunately, I can't post in that section. :(
