Hi

Firstly, I love the pbxexpress installation method - it worked like a dream with 1 exception, we can't login via SSH!

I know the SSH username is pbxexpress and I know the password is set to our 3CX Management console one but it really is not working. The other strange thing is that I noticed the Network security group that was created during the install called pbxexpress was not assigned to the new machine. I have now assigned it and locked down port 22 to our IP.

Is it possible that the installation script did not complete 100% and as such the password never got set to our 3CX Management console one?

The phones are all working and we can login to the management console but it's just the SSH we cant access so we cant install our monitoring software.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Mark Donne

I experienced the same problem with the NSG created by pbxexpress not being applied to the VM. Oddly, everything was working as if the NSG was applied...even though it wasn't. I asked the question on here and didn't get any response. I ended up abandoning pbxexpress in favour of creating the resources myself.

I presume you have ruled out NSG/firewall blocking Port 22 and you are being prompted to enter the SSH password. If so, you could try resetting the administrator password on the VM in the Azure portal - that should do the trick.

Excellent, adding a new administrator for the VM in the Azure portal worked for me, thanks Mark.

i will have our team checking on this why the NSG is not on the VM or maybe it is mapped somewhere else...
