Hi,
I found a similar topic here but can't post there:
https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/group-based-phonebook.62220/
Does 3CX have something on the roadmap to improve the phonebook feature? It seems like a half baked solution if you don't integrate a CRM or Exchange.
For example:
Users can create their personal phonebooks but not share these contacts with other users.
Management cannot merge personal phonebooks with the company phonebook.
If a users extension is deleted or uninstalls the 3cx client the personal phonebook contacts are lost.
So i don't really understand what the idea is behind the current structure. In most organisations we encounter users want to share contacts in a CRM like fashion. Or at least i would imagine that admins can manage phonebooks from other users centrally and make a backup and move over contacts from a user once they leave the company.
Please correct me if i'm wrong about any of the above points or if there are solutions for this (without using an external system).
