I think 3cx should really add a pharmacy option for an IVR, basically what I mean is we can put records such as name, date of birth, phone number, and medicine name onto the IVR. when you get a new patient, pharmacists can update the custom status of the prescription that we make and we also import audio files of it so it will play, such as, ready for pickup, not ready, ect. what we will do is when we put name and date of birth on the records once we receive a prescribed medication from a doctor/doctors office, users will call the prescription IVR, and you can make your own greeting for it. then it will ask for the date of birth of the patient, the caller types in the date of birth on the keypad using two digits for the month, two digits for the day, and four digits for the year. directions will be played also when asked to put in the date of birth, then it will repeat back to you using the default 3cx voice. for example, "Thats, July 18th 1956, right?". then it will say the name that is on that record using the default 3cx voice, for example, "we will be looking for prescriptions for john smith". then it will look up the records and say the name of the prescription and the status of the prescription using the custom voices of the medication names we imported onto the config. for example, "you have a new prescription called, melatonin that is ready for pickup. Say there is more customers with the same date of birth, how it knows who is who is by using the phone number that the customer called from and the phone number that is programmed into the records so it doesnt get customers mixed up. if they call from a different phone and enter the date of birth that is programmed to a different phone number, it will say, "using the number you are calling from, i have already tried looking you up with no success, can you enter another phone number on the keypad we might have on file? you will use the numbers 1 and 2 to answer the questions asked by the IVR, 1 is yes and 2 is no. please 3cx i beg of you to add this. thank you so much! audio example is included in the link.
