Hello 3CX community,

on the phone provisioning page of an extension the following option is shown:
Network interface for registration and provisioning

It is possible to select internal / external IP or FQDN.

I tried for 3CX Android app but it does not matter what I select, it is connected to the FQDN in every case. Do I understand this option wrong and is it not the IP/address used by the device to connect the 3CX PBX?

Thanks for a feedback.

Hi,

This option defines what destination address the app will contact in order to reach your PBX.

The client will be provisioned with BOTH internal IP and external FQDN if you leave it in the default setting (internal IP).

If you select FQDN it will provision only with FQDN, something you probably don't want.
