We are experiencing serious problems loading company and personal contacts on Fanvil phones (x5S, X6 and X210).
When we add a company contact we need to change something in the phone template (example delete a codec and add the codec again) to reprovision the phone and finally see the new contact on the phone.
No way to load the personal contacts.

This was an important requirement for us. it seems these phones have had this problem since 2017 but this known limitation is not listed in 3cx support pages.

Hi @ottopodo

The phone will periodically update its phonebook from 3CX. They do not live-update as soon as you make a change.

If you need to force it, just reboot the phones after you are done making the changes. You do not need to change anything in the template.

Thank you @JohnS_3CX I know that the changes are not immediately visible.
I made changes last week and i had to change anything in the template to load company contacts (reboot was not enough).
Personal contacts are still not visible..

We do not support personal contacts on SIP phones. Only main Contacts which appear in the management console will sync up with Name/Surname/Mobile fields. For that you will need to use the webclient.

The phones should update automatically, assuming you are using 3CX default templates. You can also use the reprovision button from the Phones section to push the changes across instantly
