phonebook search results in first letter as well as contains

I hope someone can help,

We have a mixture of Yealink phones and some web Client for windows,

We have a long list of names in the Phonebook and users are now complaining as when searching for say names starting with letter S, they get all entries that has letter S in it, instead of only the ones that start with letter S,

It wouldn't matter much if we got all of them, but they are not in any order, like you would think the results will have names that start with S and then other names that contain the letter S!

I checked Yealink and they say their phones works like that by design but then why does the 3CX web client behave the same way? does anyone know if there is a workaround?

even that the way Yealink search and 3CX does are not linked together it is common to use the "Contains" method to look for a name and is expected that way.
