We're testing out 3CX v8 with some Polycom 321 phones.
Issue: When we physically disconnect the Polycom's network cable and the phone shuts down, in the 3Cx Extension Status console, it is still showing the phone as connected/active with a green circle. With the phone powered down and its status shown as 'active', when we try to make a call to that extension, we get a busy signal.
- Shouldn't the call go to Voicemail? That's what the default Forwarding rule is set. We should never get a busy signal (welll, unless all the trunks are used up)
- Why is the extension status still show as active even though the phone is powered off?
- Is there a custom parameter that needs to be modified?
BTW - this same exact behavior occurs on the 3Cx soft phone when the computer loses its network connection.
Any tips or help would be appreciated. This might be a 'show stopper' on our side if we can't get this resolved.
