Hi netfish, as aws2p said, the supported operating systems list is here.

Please use a dedicated machine, not your domain controller or DHCP server.

You can build a VM a if you like but, again, make sure there is nothing else installed on it other than your machine's drivers

No need to be a linux guru to push an iso intall for 3CX. even after when 3cx is running you very rarely have to put hands in motor, so don't worry about Debian, you can sleep well.
BTW when you backup and restore in 3CX this is regardless of OS used so just need a working backup

Of course W10 PRO 64 if you have one is ok for 3CX, don't forget to set windows with prerequisite for 3cx install

Last question for now and i will give it a go, by the looks of everything does it look like i need to do anything else just to get the phones to show on the software, like it does the network? or that should be my problem wrong OS? if there anything i can show you to check for errors. what about showing the error log?

Thanks

Once 3CX is up and running, setup provisioning for one of the yealink phones on an extension, and then copy the provisioning link it gives, go to the DHCP Server and find DHCP option 66(066 on windows server under scope options) and paste the link into that value and save it.

After that, the DHCP server will auto-configure the phones as long as they are pre-provisioned by mac address onto extensions in the 3CX Server. No need to wait for them to magically appear via pnp/netbios/etc...

The main thing to keep in mind is that they should be on the same network as the PBX, and same subnet. When the phones boot up from being reset they will announce their presence via multicast.

Hello this mulicast part? do i need to set up a scope for that? and will it conflict the DHCP scope? the LAN is 192.168.1

Do i need to do anything before the multicast function will work? could not see if the router allows it or not how do i check for things like this?

New to multicast setup but know what it is.

Thanks gain need this information before i install it again.. don't really want to install again until i have everything in order..

Thanks :)

Hi netfish,

From a previous screenshot you posted it seems at least like the PBX server has joined multicast, but if your network equipment doesn't support it or needs additional setup, this is something that will require more research.

Hi netfish,

I'm glad the issue was resolved. As for the MC access issue I suggest you start a new thread and give a detailed description of the issue so we can try to assist.
