Hi,

We are having a major issue with some phones that have had their firmware upgraded over the weekend.

we have 40 x Grandstream GXP2130 phones at customers that have been upgraded to firmware 1.0.9.127. These phones now no longer pass through the data connection to the PC that is daisy chained into its data port.

This is having a major effect, as obviously restricting network access to all PC's connected to a phone.

I've logged this with support, but any (quick) advice would be very much appreciated...

I've rolled back the firmware to 1.0.9the .121 - same problem exists...

Hi Saqqara, many thanks for this... yep after further investigation that is 100% the issue.

I can manually change the PC port setting in the web config, but then obviously after a few minutes - the phone get forced to use the template, it restarts and the port is disabled again...

Did you have any success modifying the template?

Okay - thanks for the reply - I was going at it from the wrong angle.. enabling the VLAN port on the phone provision settings (per extension) appears to have resolved the issue (following a reboot).

Thanks for the input.

David

Please note that there was a change in the template regarding this which was requested by Grandstream for the new template and firmware. I am not sure why they requested this so i would recommend contacting Grandstream directly regarding this issue.

What change? Mine still works and I did not enable this option.

I appreciate the request may have come from the vendor, but this template killed the PC port for 50 handsets at one of my customers, essentially bringing their whole network to a halt.

It would have been handy to be given the heads up...

After contacting Grandstream regarding this matter, we got a new template and updated the online store to default enable the PC port.

Superb!! Many thanks for the update :)

I can see the new template update is available - I'll do a bit of testing today..
