Good afternoon,

I have some phones at a remote site that require a manual reboot (unplugging the lan cable from the phone) after any router reboots, or service issues with the ISP. I've tried factory reseting and reprovisioning them a few times. It seems like they just do not re-register once some network issues occur.

Thanks!

Hi @RuntyCardinal

I would leave the phone for at least 10 mins without restarting it, because once it realizes that the network is down it back off the attempts to register to avoid causing too much traffic.

If it does not connect after 10 mins, then I would suggest to see what the manufacturer says the phone behavior should be in this case.

A third option would be to analyze the network traffic when this event happens, but this is a more advanced way of troubleshooting that requires some SIP and networking engineer knowledge.
